The lower front corner and the front edge of the cover have had some kind of water damage, but the text block is not affected. Previous owner's name on the inside front cover. A very good copy of this title which is part of the large set of books of the Comedie Humaine. Many of the pages have not but cut, thus the book is unread. Text is in French, and appears to have been printed in the mid 1800's. Dedication written 1841. Illustrated with b/w engravings. Very Good - / No Dust Jacket. Item #004955
